World Diabetes Day

November 14 is a World Diabetes Day.  

The date was included in the UN International Calendar and honors the birthday of Frederick Banting, who discovered insulin together with Charles Best in 1921. 

Since 2011, Aston Health has been the authorized operator of the Federal Diabetes Registry. The number of Russian patients covered by the Registry is over 5,200,000 at this point.  

In terms of the number of years of follow-up, the Registry operated by Aston Health ranks first globally, and in terms of data quality it has the maximum number of points on a par with similar registries from the USA, Canada, Denmark and Hong Kong (China).
